The Financial Management Bill Pay Account is an individualized, flexible community service product provided by Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey, Inc. (CSPNJ) for its adult clients with mental health issues and other special needs. The Financial Management Bill Pay Account is a money management service, providing collection and payment of funds on behalf of its clients, financial literacy training and education designed to promote financial stability and security consistent with the concepts of empowerment, personal responsibility and recovery.
The Financial Management Bill Pay Account is the CSPNJ client’s introductory personal account to intentional money management, leading the way to savings and asset building accounts for business and investment, leading the way to financial freedom, independence, health and wellness. The Financial Management Bill Pay Account (FMBPA) is a free money management service provided by CSPNJ to its support service and residential clients. The purpose is to assist those clients who have difficulty and need help in managing their day-to-day finances. CSPNJ helps by cashing checks from the clients' various sources of income including their stipend and benefits checks and then by paying their living expenses based on an agreed budget and approved expense requisition.
CSPNJ also provides the Financial Management Bill Pay Account client with free financial literacy and training courses to help the client become skilled, independent and eventually able to manage their own finances. CSPNJ also offers the Financial Management Bill Pay Account client additional financial products such as the Consumer Savings Club (CSC) and the Individual Development Account (IDA) to help the client save, create and build assets qualifying the client financially to enroll in education programs leading to skill development and better employment opportunities, home ownership and entrepreneurial opportunities in helping to establish their own business.
The Financial Management Bill Pay Account is for individuals who are active clients and who are currently receiving Supportive Services and/or Supportive Housing Services from CSPNJ. CSPNJ employees are not eligible and clients who become employees will no longer be eligible to stay in the program.
