Emergency Loan Program

Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey, Inc. (CSPNJ) and Community Enterprises Corporation (CEC) Emergency Loan Program will assist Financial Services participants with short-term financial emergencies and/or unanticipated expenses. The loan fund will make loans with no interest charged to the borrower with the development of a financial and savings plan that will ensure repayment of the loan and establish financial security for the borrower by beginning or continuing to save towards a goal.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • In order to be eligible for the Emergency Loan Program, applicants must be part of or willing to become part of the Financial Services Program by maintaining a Savings account or opening a Money Management account.
  • The Applicant has to be a non-employee mental health consumer member of the CSPNJ or CEC community.
  • The reason of the loan should be to prevent loss of housing and/or employment, or for extreme medical reasons.

 

Loan Cap Amount:

  • Participants of the Savings Club and Individual Development Account programs will be allowed to borrow up to the amount invested in their account.
  • Non-saving program participants will qualify for a loan up to $500.00 unless the reason of the loan is for a housing security deposit.
