What Drives Me

As a psychiatric survivor I have become a leader, first an advocate and now as an administrator of CSPNJ. We are now an established consumer operated services organization that promotes wellness and recovery with people living with mental health issues.

Issues that Energize Me

My greatest resource is the life experiences of people working through their own recovery.

My Specialties

Though there were significant challenges, I have been instrumental in helping design innovative housing and support services models in NJ that address the poverty and poor living conditions of those often encountered by peers/people who utilize mental health services.

My Proudest Professional Achievement

I am attempting to address isolation and help people transcend the “patient role” by developing and operating self-help centers, peer supportive housing services and state-wide advocacy initiates.

When My Career Began

As someone who encountered poverty, institutionalization, and inadequate living situations, I collaborate with others to lead the organization in creating services in response to the need of individuals who live with mental health issues.

Other Stuff About Me

Even after encountering a stroke in 2005, I continue my physical, social and emotional recovery leading CSPNJ by challenging staff and others to care well for people and listen to those we serve.
